Somatropin is a recombinant human growth hormone (rhGH) for injection. It contents identical sequence of 191 amino acids of human growth hormone.

Somatropin has the following pharmacological actions:

■ Linear and Skeletal growth (Primary action)

■ Increase in the number and size of muscle cells.

■ Increase in internal organ size and red cell mass.
